All is well...
All is well at the Tunheim house. We’ve been a little lax at writing on our blog. I’ve been busy with Children’s Grief Connection stuff, while Ann has been busy keeping our house and family in order.
Two weekends ago I attended a Children’s Grief Connection (formerly Camp Amanda) camp in Clearwater. Ann and Kaleb rode with, dropped me off at camp, and continued on to her cousin Erika’s house in Albertville. As always, it was an amazing experience and extremely emotionally exhausting. It’s heart wrenching to see children hurt.
As most of you know, I have two fears in life… snakes and vomit! The last time I was at this particular facility we were greeted with several garter snakes. This camp I was awoken at 2:00 a.m. by the sound of one of our 10 year-old campers throwing up. Thank goodness for my co-counselor who stepped up to the plate to clean up the mess!
We took Kaleb into the Walk-in clinic on Sunday. He woke up Saturday night crying saying that his ear hurt. He has also had a bit of a cough going on as well. He was giving amoxicillin and some ear drops. We hope that his ear infection dissipates soon.
Last night Ann and I watched Marley and Me. What a bad idea that was. We both were moping around the house and eventually went to bed before 9:30.
Below is a couple photo of Kaleb after bath time a few nights ago. He’s a typical boy who loves to run around naked. The last photo is of Kaleb being shy wearing his tie-dye shirt camp shirt that matches daddy's.
